Conclusion

Flexibility is important in designing a course for adult education. It is important to consider the many factors involved with
each adult and at what life-cycle stage they are at in addition to individual learning styles. There are probably as many ways to
teach as there are to learn. (Diaz & Cartnal, 1999) Perhaps the most important thing is to be aware that people do not all see the
world in the same way. They may have very different preferences for how, when, and where they choose to learn. Ideally, the
experiences we provide should be tailor-made, if not for individual students, at least for different types of students (Diaz &
Cartnal, 1999). Understanding different learning styles of each individual and the stage of life the adult learner is in will help to
ensure a successful educational experience for both the Facilitator and the learner.
